Our courses are developed by backwards design for IB and IGCSE curriculums. We have a looping curriculum, following the "expose, teach, consolidate, master" methodology, meaning that students must encounter new skills and concepts multiple times and in various contexts as they mature, moving from exposure to the concept and eventually to mastery.
Our expert educators have developed all our expert educators and our curriculum line designed by our Academic Leadership Team. Every applicant is measured by reading comprehension results such as MAP and STAR for RIT and Lexile Levels, IELTS and TOEFL results, and essays, which are evaluated by our Academic Leadership, with feedback provided via a rubric as assessment report.
For more detailed information about our curriculum and courses, visit our (Senyesemane le Lipalo) Group Classes page.
Most of our students come from international schools. The school and the school's curriculum influences student ability, but it does not define it. There is a false dichotomy amongst educators that subjects are either skills or content based. We include these of course, but we are interested in building deeper concepts and principles. As a result, we've seen many of our students transfer from local to international schools after building both skills and conceptual understandings with us. Also, classes are small, allowing the teacher to cater to the strengths and weaknesses of each student. Finally, our rubrics and other methods of feedback are very dynamic and allow students to target weaker skills and strengthen them.
The cost of our courses vary depending on course type and length, as well as educator level and experience and range from USD $500 for our 5 lesson Young Classics course to USD $2200 for our 15 week Advanced Reading and Writing Courses taught by experienced Ivy League graduates.
